Press Release on the Covid Healthcare Crisis in Alabama

Updated: Sep 28

As thousands of Alabamians face being terminated from their jobs, what is the priority for our current administration? Getting themselves out of the hot water they are in with the federal government over their horrible handling of Alabama prisons. Yes, as the people cry out, “Protect our medical freedom” and “Protect us from illegal mandates,” Kay Ivey called a special legislative session to deal with prisons. Why is this the urgent matter Ivey is focusing on? Because her original plan to lease prisons and workers from what some describe as one of the most corrupt prison companies in America fell through (thank God!) and the federal government she brags about standing up to is about to come down on her. There is no “high stepping” out of this one!

During this time of government overreach the people of Alabama need to be heard and they need to be protected. Every Alabamian has the right to make medical choices for themselves and their families without manipulation, coercion and the threat of losing their job or social freedoms. This should have been addressed last session with HB214 but the bill was killed and not even allowed out of committee. Why was this not a priority for Governor Ivey?

If Kay Ivey and Health Director Scott Harris had looked at the real science, thousands of lives would have been saved by making sure every Alabamian that wanted early treatment of Covid-19 through Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin had it without fighting hospitals, doctors and pharmacies. A special session should be called to address the medical tyranny and Holocaust that has occurred in Alabama.

I, Dean Odle, as a Republican candidate for Governor of Alabama in 2022, declare that our state officials must be held accountable. Since last year I have been calling attention to Governor Kay Ivey, State Health Director Scott Harris and many other Alabama “leaders” failed COVID-19 response. They ignored highly credentialed doctors like Dider Raoult, Peter McCullough, George Fareed, Harvey Risch, Pierre Kory, and thousands of others who joined them in successfully treating COVID-19 patients with the Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin protocols. Because these esteemed doctors thought outside of the CDC, World Health Organization and mainstream media box they have saved tens of thousands of lives with these therapeutics since February of 2020. Even President Trump made Hydroxychloroquine known to the world in March of 2020, but for some reason the politicians and health officials in Alabama continued to make statements like, “There are no treatments for Covid-19.”

Whether it be ignorance or politically motivated, the terrible handling of Covid-19 has cost thousands of Alabamian lives and is about to cost others their livelihoods. Sadly the Ivey administration continues to stonewall on this issue. Ivey’s Chief of Staff, Jo Bonner made it clear to several grassroots groups last week that they will not discuss early treatment or the letter they received from Concerned Doctors. Bonner stated that Ivey and her administration are “not medically qualified” to grant the request of doctors who asked to meet with them to share their experiences successfully treating Covid patients, however the Ivey administration feels “medically qualified” to continue to push the Covid-19 vaccines. Their refusal to research or even listen to other qualified doctors has greatly impacted Alabamians. If our leaders would actively encourage doctors and hospitals to treat Covid patients with early treatment protocols and drugs that are extremely safe and effective, like Ivermectin, hospitals would not be over-crowded and lives would be saved. Dr. Harvey Risch of Yale stated this clearly in Newsweek Magazine back in July of 2020. This interfering with and ignoring treatments that are saving lives MUST stop immediately! The bullying people to take the Covid-19 vaccine MUST stop immediately! The illegal mandates from employers MUST stop immediately! It is past time for Alabama leaders to do what is right for the people of Alabama and “Dare to Defend Our Rights.”

In closing I will leave you with a signed declaration recently made by over 4,600 doctors and scientists (including Dr. Robert Malone the inventor of mRNA technology) that addresses this terrible mass murder by the political and medical establishment across the world. Once again, is time to hold our state officials accountable and listen to the experts who are keeping patients out of hospitals and saving lives.

International Alliance of Physicians and Medical Scientists

[UPDATE: as of 11am ET on 9/27 over 4,600 doctors & scientists have signed the Rome Declaration. Please join us by reading and signing below.]

“Thousands have died from Covid as a result of being denied life-saving early treatment. The Declaration is a battle cry from physicians who are daily fighting for the right to treat their patients, and the right of patients to receive those treatments – without fear of interference, retribution or censorship by government, pharmacies, pharmaceutical corporations, and big tech. We demand that these groups step aside and honor the sanctity and integrity of the patient-physician relationship, the fundamental maxim “First Do No Harm”, and the freedom of patients and physicians to make informed medical decisions. Lives depend on it.

We the physicians of the world, united and loyal to the Hippocratic Oath, recognizing the profession of medicine as we know it is at a crossroad, are compelled to declare the following;

WHEREAS, it is our utmost responsibility and duty to uphold and restore the dignity, integrity, art and science of medicine;

WHEREAS, there is an unprecedented assault on our ability to care for our patients;

WHEREAS, public policy makers have chosen to force a “one size fits all” treatment strategy, resulting in needless illness and death, rather than upholding fundamental concepts of the individualized, personalized approach to patient care which is proven to be safe and more effective;

WHEREAS, physicians and other health care providers working on the front lines, utilizing their knowledge of epidemiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology, are often first to identify new, potentially life saving treatments;

WHEREAS, physicians are increasingly being discouraged from engaging in open professional discourse and the exchange of ideas about new and emerging diseases, not only endangering the essence of the medical profession, but more importantly, more tragically, the lives of our patients;

WHEREAS, thousands of physicians are being prevented from providing treatment to their patients, as a result of barriers put up by pharmacies, hospitals, and public health agencies, rendering the vast majority of healthcare providers helpless to protect their patients in the face of disease. Physicians are now advising their patients to simply go home (allowing the virus to replicate) and return when their disease worsens, resulting in hundreds of thousands of unnecessary patient deaths, due to failure-to-treat;

WHEREAS, this is not medicine. This is not care. These policies may actually constitute crimes against humanity.

RESOLVED, that the physician-patient relationship must be restored. The very heart of medicine is this relationship, which allows physicians to best understand their patients and their illnesses, to formulate treatments that give the best chance for success, while the patient is an active participant in their care.

RESOLVED, that the political intrusion into the practice of medicine and the physician/patient relationship must end. Physicians, and all health care providers, must be free to practice the art and science of medicine without fear of retribution, censorship, slander, or disciplinary action, including possible loss of licensure and hospital privileges, loss of insurance contracts and interference from government entities and organizations – which further prevent us from caring for patients in need. More than ever, the right and ability to exchange objective scientific findings, which further our understanding of disease, must be protected.

RESOLVED, that physicians must defend their right to prescribe treatment, observing the tenet FIRST, DO NO HARM. Physicians shall not be restricted from prescribing safe and effective treatments. These restrictions continue to cause unnecessary sickness and death. The rights of patients, after being fully informed about the risks and benefits of each option, must be restored to receive those treatments.

RESOLVED, that we invite physicians of the world and all health care providers to join us in this noble cause as we endeavor to restore trust, integrity and professionalism to the practice of medicine.

RESOLVED, that we invite the scientists of the world, who are skilled in biomedical research and uphold the highest ethical and moral standards, to insist on their ability to conduct and publish objective, empirical research without fear of reprisal upon their careers, reputations and livelihoods.

RESOLVED, that we invite patients, who believe in the importance of the physician-patient relationship and the ability to be active participants in their care, to demand access to science-based medical care.”
